Find answers to common questions about TasteCert, our evaluation process, certification, and more.
TasteCert is an independent taste certification institute for food and beverage products. Our expert tasting panel evaluates products across five sensory criteria and awards certification badges and certificates to products that meet high quality standards.
Any food or beverage producer can submit products for evaluation, from local artisan producers and small-batch makers to mid-size companies and large manufacturers. There are no minimum company size or production volume requirements.
We evaluate all types of food and beverage products, including fresh produce, packaged foods, condiments, dairy, baked goods, snacks, beverages, juices, and more. If you are unsure whether your product is eligible, contact us and we will be happy to help.
No. TasteCert is fully independent. We have no financial ties to any of the products or producers we evaluate. All assessments are objective and unbiased.
You submit your product details through our platform and ship a sample to our evaluation center. Our expert panel evaluates your product in a blind tasting session across five criteria: appearance, aroma, taste, texture, and overall impression. You receive a detailed sensory evaluation report with your results.
In a blind tasting, our expert panelists evaluate your product without knowing the brand name, producer, packaging, or price. This ensures that the assessment is based entirely on the sensory qualities of the product.
The typical evaluation process takes 4 to 6 weeks from the moment we receive your product sample. You can track your submission status in real time through your partner dashboard.
You can submit as many products as you like in a single evaluation cycle. We offer volume-based pricing for multiple product submissions.
Products that do not meet the minimum quality threshold still receive a full sensory evaluation report with detailed feedback from our panel. You can use this feedback to improve your product and resubmit in a future evaluation cycle at no additional cost.
TasteCert awards four certification tiers: Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Excellence. Each tier represents a different level of sensory quality, and every tier is a meaningful mark of achievement.
