At TasteCert, we believe certification should be a celebration, not a competition. That is why we designed a tier system where every level represents a genuine achievement. A Gold-certified product is not a lesser product — it is a product that has been independently evaluated and proven to meet high standards of quality.
Our tiers reflect increasing degrees of sensory excellence, but each one is a meaningful distinction that producers can be proud of. There are no participation awards and no low scores — only products that have earned their place.
Certification tiers are determined by the overall score a product receives from our expert tasting panel. Each product is evaluated across five sensory criteria — appearance, aroma, taste, texture, and overall impression — and scored accordingly. The detailed scoring methodology and score ranges for each tier are shared with partners in their evaluation report.
Products that do not meet the minimum quality threshold for Gold certification are not awarded a tier. These products still receive a full sensory evaluation report with detailed feedback to help improve future submissions.
